Chase Sapphire - If you’ve been following us even for a week, you’ve heard us sing this card’s praises. This has been the single most powerful tool in allowing us to travel the world. We’ve been to Thailand, Amsterdam, Paris, Ireland, Mexico and more for FREE thanks to our Chase cards. The sign up bonus itself will cover two international round trip flights. This card stands out for many reasons, but a few of our favorites are the redemption value of points, the wide network of transfer partners that you can use, amazing travel insurance coverage that we’ve both been able to use many times. We could go on forever, so email us with any questions.

Delta - We recommend an airline or hotel branded credit card as a secondary card for everyone to hold. When choosing this card, you’ll want to make sure that it’s for a brand you travel with frequently. With airlines, that means there should be a hub in your city. Delta is a hub for both of us and we prefer Delta due to its international reach, quicker ability to earn miles (hello bonus miles on restaurants, Lyft rides, etc.) and more, but don’t think there is a wrong choice here!

Investing sounds scary and intimidating, but in reality it is exciting, empowering and a must for anyone who dreams of being “rich” one day. 99% of wealthy people didn’t get there through their salary alone. Learning to make your money work for you is key in amassing wealth + securing your financial future. Below are two of our favorite platforms for young people (or anyone) to use to get started!
Both of these platforms are considered robo-advisors, so don’t worry - there is no need for you to pick any stocks of your own or be worried about buying, selling, etc.
Wealthfront - We love this platform because there are no fees until you hit a certain account threshold. The fees charged by many brokerage firms put young people (who have fewer funds to invest) at a disadvantage. There are also no account minimums. Click HERE for our unique referral code to get an additional $5000 in assets managed for free.
Ellevest - While this platform is super similar to Wealthfront, there is one difference that we love! Ellevest is super committed to financial literacy + closing the financial gap for women and minorities. You can elect to have your funds invested specifically in companies that support women which we love! Of course, you can also opt out from this, but we love it. There is a small fee charged for account management here, but still no minimum balance. Even if you don’t use Ellevest for investing, we highly recommend that you sign up for their newsletter. Fundrise - This app is specifically for those who want to invest in real estate over traditional stocks, bonds, index funds, etc. or for those that want to diversify the investments that they already have. You have the ability to invest in multi-million dollar housing projects, up and coming cities and neighborhoods and decide the level of risk you are comfortable with. You can even elect to invest in projects that provide passive income for those who have ever wanted to own rental properties, but without the hassle of being a landlord.
There aren’t any unique sign up bonuses for these apps, but just apps that we use + love for our travel and finances needs! All can be downloaded free of charge in the App Store!
Mobile Passport - This makes going through customs after an international flight an absolute breeze. There is nothing worse than getting off a 10+ hour flight only to wait in line for another hour to get through customs when all you want to do is rush home + order Thai food. Literally nobody seems to know about this app, so there has never been anyone in the Mobile Passport line when we’ve used it. We even breeze past everyone with Global Entry. The best part? It’s totally free!
Splitwise - This app takes ALL the stress out of group trips. There is nothing worse than a stream of endless Venmos after a weekend away or an epic girls’ trip. Plus there’s always the awkwardness of “Ugh well that Uber split between 5 of us is only $4 each, so I shouldn’t charge them.” With Splitwise, you enter every single charge throughout the trip - yes, even the cheap ones - and at the end of the vacation, it automatically calculates so that you only pay one person. Genius!!
